Rain, Rain, Go Away!
Number 13 is supposed to be bad luck. Well, this issue is a day late, so maybe it is. Anyways, my apologies for the delay. Bad luck came down from the Sky this past weekend and washed out the planned Vespa Fest 2022 Scooter Rally planned by our neighbors, The NYC Vespa Club. The all day Rally was to be at Valley Stream State Park on Long Island was met with all day Rain instead of Scooters. Our band, Strange But Surf was scheduled to play as well. The call to cancel was made on Friday and was a good one. It rained the whole weekend, so the roads were in no condition to ride on at any time. We stand ready to assist in any plans to re-organize this awesome event as any good neighbor would.
Pizza Swarm Returns, But..
It is still raining as I write this! Rain is forecast straight thru Wednesday. Our Pizza nights have never been a Riding Event, so a 4 wheeled vehicle is usually used. However even in those 4 wheeled things, we care about our members safety. Stay tuned for an update, if this too, is rained out.
La Dulce Vespa…
Our sister club, The Long Island Vespa Club has grown up quite a bit lately. First, they came into being on their own Facebook Page. Then became an official Chapter of The Vespa Club Of America. Upcoming Events
Well, Fall fell upon us fast but their is some riding left to do as the seasons winds down. We can not say strongly enough that you be aware of the safety precautions, the cooler weather requires. Many of our events occur without being a ride, but when the weather is yucky they will be cancelled regardless. Cancelling events is a new thing for us, as we let riders use their own judgement on what and when to ride. This past weekend, showed us all the value of cancelling ahead of time.
