Motorcycles…

We met up for the weekly Sunday Swarm in Plainview at Town Bagel as usual. We had another large turnout that included about 50% Motorcycles. Some question that fact that we permit Motorcycles to join us. The Answer is simple. Many of us own both types of 2 wheels an we want them to feel welcome if they choose to ride with us. Many prefer our more scenic and sometimes shorter rides too. Of course we are a Scooter Club first and foremost and that is what we prefer everyone to ride. However we all appreciate some of the amazing bikes our members have. For instance, take a gander at some of our Motorcycling members bikes, including Bruce’s brand new 1800cc Indian below! Wow! What a machine…

The Sunday Swarm…

As you can see in the above photos, we went a little crazy and took a ride to the Pilgrim State Mental Hospital. Some of it is still in use, most of it is not. Homeless people live on the property and it is sad to see that even on a state owned facility in one of the highest taxed places in the country these people can not get help. We hung out there enjoying the great weather and visiting the abandoned water tower.

Our next stop was Ducks Stadium. The Minor League Baseball team was nearby and a trip there seemed like a good way to spark the conversation about a group ride to a game. There wasn’t a game on Sunday but everyone is now interested in the plan. Stay tuned to The Buzz for more information. From there we had lunch at “Out Of The Park Burgers” across the way from the Stadium. It wasn’t bad but we heard it was better before the new owners took over…

2 Forks / 2 Ferries Update…

We hope you are getting ready. Getting ready means, you have checked or changed your oils, have an emergency plan & cleared your schedule. It is important to note that those that want to participate do not have to ride all the way with us. Some can come out to ride with us as far as they want or can, and it is cool with us. We welcome the company and would love to share even part of the experience. Sept 18th 730am is coming up fast, (don’t be late, we wont wait) -so whatever you have to do to get ready, do it now…
