Here Now The News…
We had a great Swarm on Sunday! We met as usual at Town Bagel in Plainview. Over a half dozen of us went to some familiar spots for us. Our journey took us to the South Shore of Long Island. Our first stop was Wantagh Park. This is the site of our very first ride, 23 years ago. However we could not stop to savor our history, because it costs $10 each to park. Along the way we passed The Bellmore RR Station, the site of our first meeting spot. Moving right along, we went a mile or so east to Cedar Creek Park in Seaford. This is where the Nassau County Aerodrome is located. It is an Airport for Remote Control Planes. It is hidden way behind the Park near the Police Impound Yard (don’t ask how I know that). We were treated to biplanes, Jets and more all operated by remote control. It was like our own private Airshow. While there we made a new friend…

Our next stop was to All American Burger in Massapequa. We originally planned to go to Oak Beach, but the Swarm was hungry and wanted a shorter day of Scootering. We are a Democracy, after all. All American is a world famous landmark on Long Island and a favorite destination of the Swarm. It was a beautiful day to be out & about. We must of hung out there for over an hour just enjoying each others company. We chilled, discussed our plans for Scooter World Domination and had the coolest Burgers & Fries on Long Island. We split up from there and went back to life beyond the Swarm.

This Week’s Swarms…
THE PIZZA SWARM:
This week, we have a new Pizza Swarm location! A new central LI location on Route 110 is our new spot. Our Pizza Swarms try different locations to make it easier for everyone to join in. These are not really group rides, generally. They are designed for to hang out and meet and greet new nd old members alike. This Wednesday at 630PM we will be at La Focaccia, 64 Broadhollow Road in Melville, 11747. Everyone is welcome, including Motorcycles, Cars & whatever you care to Swarm in.

THE SUNDAY SWARM:
The longest running Scooter meet in the NYC/LI Area. Since 1999 we have been bring Long Island’s Scooter Lovers together for fun & friendship. We meet at Town Bagel at 1133 Old Country Road, Plainview, 11803 around 83o-9AM. We like to get an early start to beat the infamous LI traffic before it beats us. Destination are usually unplanned and decided by and based on those that show up. Planned rides do happen often enough and those will be posted here on this Blog and Facebook. See you Sunday!
